About Trichollective

A trichologist founded Trichollective so no practitioner
has to work through a difficult case alone.

It began at Whittlebury Hall and now brings trichologists, doctors, nurses and scalp care practitioners together all year, from the treatment chair to the consulting room.

Founded by Karley Weir

The people who care for hair and scalp should be talking to each other.

Karley Weir is a trichologist with more than twenty years in the hair industry, ten of them in trichology. She founded Trichollective to bring cosmetic, clinical and medical professionals into the same room, and organises every conference herself.

Karley believes that our hair reflects the harmony of our entire being, from the inside out.

From K Trichology
Karley's practice: K Trichology

Cosmetic, clinical and medical professionals often see the same client at different points, yet they rarely meet. Karley saw that from the treatment chair and from the consulting room, and decided to change it.

In January 2026 she brought trichologists and hair professionals together at Whittlebury Hall in England. In June they met again at Whittlebury Park, with talks on hair biology, patient perspectives, non-surgical hair restoration and building a UK trichology database. Head spa therapists, stylists, trichologists, nurses and doctors sat in the same room and learned from each other.

Those days showed how much each discipline had to offer the others, and how much was lost in the months between them. So Trichollective now runs all year online, with a private community, courses, a public directory and Trichozette. It launches at Trichollective Ireland on 5 October, and the conferences carry on in person, with Los Angeles next.

It is a closed, paid membership. That keeps the conversation professional, keeps the Case Room private, and means we answer to members rather than advertisers.

What we believe

You can rely on four principles
in every conversation, course and referral.

  1. 01

    Evidence over hype

We would rather say we don't know than repeat a claim nobody can support. When members recommend a product or a treatment, we ask what it is based on.

  2. 02

    Respect across disciplines

A head spa therapist, a trichologist and a dermatologist each see something the others might miss. Every discipline is heard, so every member gets a fuller picture of the case.

  3. 03

    The client comes first

Every conversation, referral and course should leave the people in our chairs and clinics better cared for. When in doubt, we choose what is right for them.

  4. 04

    Share what you know

The field moves forward when people pass on what they have learned. We make it easy to share, and members who share are recognised with invitations to teach and write.

Our commitments

You can hold us to what we will always do,
and to what we never will.

Trust is the whole point of a professional community. These are promises, not aspirations.

We will

  • Review every directory listing by hand before it goes live.
  • Check qualifications before we add a verified badge.
  • Label sponsored content clearly, every time.
  • Tell the public when they should see a doctor.
  • Keep cases in the Case Room anonymised and private to verified professionals.

We won't

  • Diagnose anyone online, or suggest that we can.
  • Publish member counts, testimonials or statistics we can't stand behind.
  • Let brands post in clinical spaces.
  • Sell members' details to anyone.

Contact

You will always reach a real person,
and we read every message.

For questions about membership, the directory or anything else, send us a message or email karley@trichollective.net. We reply to every message ourselves.
